As the title suggests, this book provides an hour-by-hour account of the events surrounding April 19, 1775. This provides background information for the teacher. Excerpts from this book were read to students. Other parts were summarized. This book helped students understand the preparations made on both sides, with a focus on colonists preparations.

This book provides the teacher a great deal of background information on the events leading up the the Revolutionary War. Excerpts from pages 113-118 and 123-128 were read to students in order to help them understand what it was like for a British Regular on the evening of April 18th and the morning of April 19th 1775.

This book provides the teacher with background information on the American Revolution and the events leading up to it. The Illustrated Edition includes images and replicas of primary source documents.

This lesson plan takes students through the events of April 19, 1775. Primary resources are used as students study the point of view of different individuals that witnessed the events of April 19th. Pieces of this Lesson Plan were adapted and used in the lesson plan that I developed.

This tool allows the researcher to find documents around a certain event by using tags that link related documents together. Students were given a demonstration on how this tool works.

In Lesson One, Activity Four, students studied the Doolittle Prints along with first hand accounts of the events of April 19, 1775. Students were asked to match the account with the correct Doolittle Print. This lesson served as inspiration for my lesson.
